Prof. Dr Ivana Ivanić is Associate Professor at the Department of Romanian Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, where she teaches courses in Romanian language, culture, Balkan studies, digital humanities and educational technologies. She also serves as Vice-Dean for Accreditation, Self-Evaluation and Quality Assurance.
Her academic work combines traditional humanities scholarship with contemporary approaches to teaching and research, including e-learning, digital resources, interactive learning environments, AI-supported education and the development of innovative methodologies for foreign-language teaching.
She is actively involved in international research, academic cooperation, conferences and scholarly publishing, with collaborations, projects and academic activities across institutions worldwide.
Her research focuses on Romanian and Balkan studies, Serbian–Romanian cultural and spiritual relations, manuscript heritage, minority languages and identities, interculturality, Digital Humanities, and the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in higher education. Her scholarly work combines traditional philological and cultural research with contemporary interdisciplinary and digital approaches.
